605 Miles To Go, Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona

Easy 40 mile day–mostly on the Interstate.  Staying in Winslow, Az, of the Eagles song fame.  Winslow was a railroad town, and we are staying in a very fancy hotel, La Posada, built by the railroad as a draw destination.  La Posada has been restored and revived to its original Spanish Hacienda standings and reminds me of many of the fine Paradors of Spain and Portugal.  Still are lots of trains.  It is amazing how much stuff is moving across this country by rail and truck.

One final comment for today:  it is not, here!  96 deg F.  Tomorrow we climb to Flagstaff where it will be cooler, yeah!
